If I send someone an htm file that has been created by Firefox can they open it in Microsoft Outlook
I created an htm file with a program and sent it to someone but it says it is Firefox htm file. The other person does not have Firefox and says they cannot open it.
Is this correct ?
Chosen solution
Every browser or other program (e.g. an HTML editor or a program like MS Word) that can render HTML files should be able to open an HTML file and display its content properly.
Your Windows OS only shows the file as a Firefox file because you have chosen Firefox as the default browser, so the .html file extension is associated with the Firefox program.

Thank you for responding. I will visit the person who said they could not open the file and find out what they were doing wrong
Thanks once again
You're welcome.
You can do a test and email the file to yourself to see if it works for you.
