There are no exceptions listed and the check box is marked to save passwords, but when I go to sites such as Twitter and Facebook it won't offer to save passwords anymore, can anyone help?

Chosen solution

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Do you see any passwords listed for that domain or have entries with an empty name in the password manager?

  • Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"

The check box was already unchecked, and I'm not using private browsing all the time. It still will not even offer to save password. Anything else?

Could you post a few websites that you have tried this on?

Have tried it on Twitter, Facebook, Gmail, Espn. Google chrome will save passwords for each of those sites, and will save them, but Firefox doesn't even offer to save them
