You can't recover deleted history. There are only backups for the bookmarks. You will have to use the browsing cache (about:cache) if you need to retrieve previously visited sites.

are you sure??? nahh i was able to retrieve it i realize that windows 7 can restore the previous version by right click places.sqlite>properties>previous versions>restore

another solution was given by sctl:

i have sessionstore.bak it was exactly the same time when it was deleted but the sessionstore.js file is currently updated

so how do i retrieve the browsing history? i thought i was in places.sqlite??? I have places.sqlite-sh, the same time when it was deleted and the places.sqlite - is the current time

Save your .bak file and your recovered places.sqlite file from your earlier crash to a safe place.
   Exit Firefox
Make a copy of of the saved .bak file and saved places.sqlite and rename the copy to sessionstore.js.
Move the copies into your profile folder, replacing the new ones that were created after your crash (move the replaced ones to another location in case you need to retrieve them later).
Restart Firefox with the copy of the sessionstore.bak (now renamed sessionstore.js) and places.sqlite.
If you get a new session when opening Firefox, select
    History > Restore Previous Session
