My laptop (HP Pavillion Dv6-1030US) was working like fine...until I received the notice that Firefox had new version 3.6 to update. I opted to do that, and when it restarted, even though I have a strong wireless signal, it will not connect to the internet.

My WLAN is on. I was told to do a system restore to a prior date, which I did, but I still cannot connect to the internet. I have gone to Explorer with the intent of reinstalling Firefox of uninstalling the update, but Explorer will not open. I cannot get on the internet, which I need to work on 12 hours a day. This is imperative that I figure this out asap today.

I have tried to system restore twice, and it is telling me that the system restore is not working. Everything was working perfect until I installed Firefox 3.6. If anhyone knows how to get this straight, PLEASE RESPOND ASAP.

I run Windows Home Vista.
