personas don't work with firefox 3.6 yet it directs me to the personas page rather than themes why?
i recently updated to Firefox 3.6.3. and was wondering why i can't use personas, i then found out that they are not compatible with 3.6. However my issue is that whenever i click on "Get Themes" under the add-ons section, i get redirected to the personas page and am told i need to upgrade to get more from the site (basically downgrade to version 3.5) is there no other way around this?

Where did you see that they are not compatible with 3.6?
The reason they probably aren't working for you is you is your User Agent string in Firefox is messed up by another program that you installed, or maybe a botched attempt to spoof IE 6. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Agent
- Type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter
- If you see a warning, you can confirm you want to proceed.
- Filter = general.useragent.
- Right-click the preferences that are bold, one line at a time, and select Reset,
- Then restart Firefox

Hi, thanks for the reply. i went onto the add-ons page that comes up in the menu bar of Firefox. and personas had an exclamation mark next to it saying not compatible with Firefox 3.6 and when i go onto the get personas website it says i need to upgrade. thanks for the advice am going to try that now so will re-post an update with the results.
None of the settings in config was in boldface. This used to work fine, I am using Personas already. When I try to change it now, it says I'm using the new one but it isn't there nor is it loaded into my list of Personas (I have about 8 of them)
- Make sure that you not run Firefox in Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode
- In Private Browsing mode some menu items are disabled (grayed) and features like visited links are disabled and not showing
- You are in Private Browsing mode if you see "Tools > Stop Private Browsing", possibly grayed

the persona seems does not work with other theme other than the FireFox default. i have strata theme, i tried a few times w different persona, it did not work, but when i switched to FireFox default theme it works OK....
it that how it works or i need to get theme that is compatible with persona???
