When I open up a website of a non-Mozilla Company Website using your Fire Fox browser----your "system" automatically loads my Login information--- my User Name and Password. What action can take be taken so your "system" doesn't do that?

xquz, if you just didn't want the logins to be auto-filled in site login forms, but you still wanted to keep them saved in the password manager, then you could try the following: Open the Tools Menu and select Settings, then search for "Fill usernames and passwords automatically" and uncheck this option.

I went to www.mozilla.org but I could not find a place to login. I do have a username/ID and password. I used the email address you sent me on 8 Aug 2024 ---https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/password-manager-remember-delete-edit-logins --- and I found "Settings" . It did not have a choice entitled "Fill usernames and passwords automatically" it only had the 6 choices I have indicated below. How can I get to the choice "Fill usernames and passwords automatically" ?

xquz, sorry if it wasn't clear. the link supplied by cor-el is for an online help article that explains how to use Firefox's inbuilt password manager. Whereas I was talking about the internal settings of the browser itself.

For clarity, to stop the autofill (but keep the passwords saved in Firefox): Press alt+T in a Firefox window and this should open the Tools menu directly, at the top of the window. From this menu select "Settings". In the search box at the top of the settings page that opens, search for "Fill usernames and passwords automatically", and uncheck it. (You may need to restart Firefox to see the changes).

Alternatively, if you wish to remove a password from Firefox altogether, then follow the guide posted by cor-el.
