Firefox's native Task Manager barely accounts for 1-2% of the memory shown as being used by Firefox in Windows 10's native Task Manager.

This makes FF's TM quite useless when it comes to troubleshooting memory issues.

Is there an option that can be toggled to track down the rest of the memory? Or is this just a limitation that's being worked on?

You're probably only looking at the memory for the Firefox main process. Firefox runs your web content in other processes. Windows will show you the combined total, but the Firefox about:memory screen breaks it down for you.

You can see the memory used by other processes by selecting them from the right-hand side (see screenshot).

Note that you can also scroll down the about:memory page to see the other processes as they are all on the same page. You can click a line to collapse/expand a section.
