Firefox is my default browser in Windows 10, which I have used with no glitches for 6 months to a year. I use Firefox because it supports Zotero, which is where I have hundreds of documents stored which I need to access in order to finish writing my Masters thesis. Suddenly, this morning, Firefox won't open. The program is working because it starts, but the window won't get big on the screen. There's a blue line under the firefox icon on the tool bar, and if I click it, a mini screen shows that it's open, it just won't open on my screen.

I can open Firefox in safe mode, but that doesn't have Zotero. Is there a way to fix Firefox that won't delete Zotero (and all my documents)?

Thanks

Thanks, Philip,

I had opened Firefox in Safe mode, and couldn't get back to the unsafe mode that wouldn't open and displayed the behavior I described above. I didn't have Zotero, however, which as I mentioned, I needed. I just reinstalled Zotero and am in the process of syncing my files from the group folder, so all is not lost. It's fixed, I think--I just had to reinstall Zotero.

Thanks for your suggestion. I don't if it would have worked, but I found another way.

hi, you could try this: please press alt+tab until the "hidden" firefox window gets into focus. then press windows-key + left-arrow until the window hopefully comes into view again...
