Thunderbird opens quickly but just freezes for about 3 mins. Then all seems to work. Any ideas? Regards Richard
Hi, I am running Thunderbird on Windows 10. Its the latest version. When I open my mailbox (Thinderbird) it opens reasonably quickly showing my inbox and all local folders. But it just sits there frozen for about 3-4 minutes. Then it starts working and works fairly quickly. I have not made changes that I am aware of that would cause this. I am using BTinternet.com and if I access my mail through the BT login over the web via Firefox my mailbox is there very quickly and working but I cannot see my local mail folders, which I never have, hence using Thunderbird which I like. Any advice would be most gratefully received. Best Regards Richard

What has made a difference is disabling all add ons...It fires up really quick now but when I look at the Error console I see quite a few errors.
That's surprising, considering that starting Thunderbird in safe mode should disable ALL addons, and more.
What addons have you disabled?

Hi Wayne, Did as you suggested but did not solve. What has made a difference is disabling all add ons...It fires up really quick now but when I look at the Error console I see quite a few errors. That said TB seems to fire up ok now so I'll just see how it goes. Thanks for your help. Regards Richard
