Save As PDF saves a blank pdf file
Hi,
The save as pdf function used to save the the main part of a web page.
After the current update now the files created still have several pages, but they are all blank. No text visible.
Is this a bug or is something wrong with my setup?
This is on a Droid X with 2.3.3 (Gingerbread), FireFox 27.0
I love this function. I hope it can be fixed.
I wish this function was in the Desktop Browser too.

Could you provide me with the url of the site you are encountering this with? Or is this with all websites? Also, what pdf reader are you using to open the downloaded pdfs?
thanks
Hi,
I've tried it on a couple of sites, both didn't work.
I've tried opening the pdf with qPDF Viewer, and Kindle, and on my desktop with Foxit Phantom.
Perhaps I didn't make this clear. I'm using the Menu/More/Save as PDF browser function. The browser is creating the PDF, it's not downloading the PDF from the website.
I've reverted back to the 23.0 version and it's all good again.
So even if the PDF is being created via a cloud service the problem is in the FireFox app.
If you want I can setup or find a test case for you.
Update.
I got a few samples for you.
Apparently it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. This is with version 27.0. Version 23 always worked.
I supplied a screen-shot of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/home and the resultant pdf; Products.pdf. Notice that is omits all styles.
Also, WordPress.com - Get a Free Blog Here.pdf is the home page of wordpress.com. Notice it's blank.
Also, The Mystic Sage Musings.pdf is missing styling. url: http://mystic-sage.com/blog/; also missing the heading picture, but it has the text.
However, the site I was originally having problems with; http://isiopolis.com/about/; comes out correct now. The pdf is: About Isiopolis _ Isiopolis.pdf
I tried to upload a zip files with the samples, but it won't let me.
You can get the zip file from here: http://gwsystemsdns.net/files/Samples.zip

Hi gwardell,
I think they moved it in the Firefox for Android. Please see if the sae sits not giving the option is in Menu/Tools/ Save as PDF By default it should be in the downloads folder and ask you what you would like to open it with.
I hope this helps.
Do you mean moved or removed?
The menu option is there for all sites, it's just that the PDF file, which is in the downloads folder, is either incomplete, malformed, or empty. See the examples in the zip file that I provided a link for.
Also, I tried several viewers, qPDF , Kindle and Foxit, and none of them could render the messed up files properly.
This appears to me to be a bug. It doesn't even work right on the Mozilla site.
