I have 14 groups, when Firefox starts 1 tab from 1 of the groups is displayed, I can switch to any of the other tabs in the SAME group, and the window/display changes too - normal. I can select a different group, the selection indicates (changes from black (suspened) to white (active/not suspended) however the window/display does not move to newly selected group, the window/display stays the same.

Hi David,

It's been 2 hours since my first reply, and my problem is corrected.

I uninstalled FireFox20, however I selected the option to keep history, settings, etc

I had the file for Firefox17. I ran the file. Firefox17 installed, ran, and just-like-that Firefox with TabGroupsManager - with all my tabs & pages, even the add-ons, is up and running. Like the problem never happened.

For those that need a link:

I'm so happy!!!

I'm also thankful for all the talented people at Mozilla - and other opensource providers ie. VLC, who have allowed me, for 10+ years, to be immersed by the ideas & information from the infinite internet.

Wish you all the Best!

Hi there,

What version of Firefox were you using prior to 20.0.1? I have never used this add-on personally, but I just tried to install it in the latest Firefox and it seems to work fine there. The interface looks a little funky on my Mac, but I can't tell if it's supposed to look like that.

If this worked well in the previous version of Firefox you were running, I suspect that the author of the addon needs to update his addon to support the latest version of Firefox. Unfortunately it looks like the add-on hasn't been updated since Nov 28 2011, so I don't know if the author is actively working on his add-on anymore: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/tabgroups-manager/?src=ss

You could of course downgrade Firefox to an older version, but I don't recommend it because of the internet security risks you would put you and your computer at.

Hope this is somewhat helpful even if it doesn't solve the problem you're having with the add-on.

Cheers, David

Hi David,

I"m not certain of the previous version, except that I always update... so I'd say it was version 19+.

For me, it is the best way to work with hundreds of pages.

I definitely want to downgrade. I'm so kicking myself for not backing up before the upgrade.

Please provide direction how to downgrade.

Thank You, Peter
