It does not, it fixes temporarily. What I found is selecting only "Attach RoboForm to Firefox even if Adaper is not installed" only from options fixes the issue.

Threedee, thanks for sharing this information- that was very helpful.

@SieberSystems Yes, thank you, we established that AVG was involved in the issue, both in the support ticket and on this very thread. However, just pointing the finger at AVG does not help me get Roboform working. All other plug-ins are working fine with AVG. Roboform is not. Therefore, Roboform should have worked with me to solve this problem. They did exactly what you just did: point the finger and offer no other help.

@threedee Unfortunately, that did not solve my problem either.

jskerchner, I am using bitdefender, but had the same problem, even disabling it completely did not help. AVG might not be the issue here. And my solution should also be something considered temporarily for us, and especially for the roboform team.

Also jskerchner, in the options, uncheck Mozilla Firefox, only check the other option I mentioned above.

I see that there was a lot of communication done and that they did try to resolve the issue. I apologize it could not be resolved, there are some rare instances where we cannot reproduce the exact problem. I understand this can be frustrating.

@threedee Disabling AVG caused the Roboform toolbar to reappear, that's why we thought it was a conflict between Roboform and AVG.

@SiberSystems Did your support staff contact AVG to try to find out what might cause the conflict so that they could reproduce it?

Folks, I notice SiberSystems stopped responding to this when asked if they had been in touch with AVG. How about it SiberSystems? I have continually had to uninstall and reinstall RoboForm to get the toolbar to show up. Then, inexplicably, when I either reboot or restart Firefox the toolbar is not displayed and is not one of the choices from the View menu. Let's get this figured out so users can stop screwing around with it.

Thanks,

Phil

Do any of you use Session Manager extension? I found that mine was because of that. I report it to Siber Systems.

Yes, I do. And I consider it essential, but that is a curious link. Maybe SiberSystems could look into that. And thanks.

I already report this to SiberSystems. They were able to reproduce the bug and send my report to the developer sectıon.

Hi everyone, there are some issues that happen to only certain users depending on the machine and different programs that are installed on that particular computer. If you send us a support ticket then we can look in to the issue and most of the time, are able to reproduce the issue so that our developers can fix the bug in the next update. There are some cases that cannot be reproduced and are unique cases. As far as the AVG case, I cannot speak on behalf of the supporters and your direct support ticket, but you can follow up on your support ticket and ask the supporters if anything has been resolved with your particular case.

Thanks for all of the comments and questions.

borayeris,

Thanks for submitting that to them. And since you say they have been able to replicate it perhaps the anonymous SiberSystems person that made the last post could update us as to when a solution to this specific anomaly may be forthcoming?

Thanks all,

Phil

Hi Phil,

Although I try to help out as much as I can on boards such as this, I cannot speak for the actual support department as far as resolved or unresolved ticket issues, it is better for you to follow up on the ticket that you opened with support.

Thanks for your questions, Siber Systems

@SiberSystems, I find it very interesting that you can review the support tickets but you are unable to contact your own support staff to find out the status of an issue.

more options

We can review the tickets, however you must reply yourself to check on the ticket status and further speak with the support staff.

more options

So what was the point of you reviewing my ticket if there is nothing you can do? You guys are really whole lot of no help.

more options

@jskerchner- I reviewed your ticket to see if there was a solution that I knew of or that the supporter did not understand, to see if I could help and I could not. Yes, I can redirect your ticket if you respond to it and let the supporters know what exactly you did to help solve the problem. If you do not respond to the ticket, the supporter has no idea that their suggestions did not solve the problem.

Anonymous SiberSystems responder,

OK, here's the deal - I understand all the vagaries of different operating systems, installed add-ons to browsers, etc. I am not looking to get SiberSystems to solve MY problem, I am looking to get you to put out a fix for every possible negatively affected customer. When I Google for the answer, a support ticket does not find me the answer. Ditto other customers. So, my suggestion to you is to get improvements to your testing and evaluation processes, figure out what has recently created this issue for YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS and get back in here and publicly offer up some solutions. That way people can Google for the solution and not have to submit a support ticket, maybe on a Friday night where everybody at SiberSytems is off with their family, and then have to wait until Monday morning for possibly the first eyeballs to even see the submission.

Hopefully that makes sense. In simple terms - OK, we get it, you want a support ticket submission. Everybody got that? OK, you don't need to say it again. From here on I urge you to only offer up suggestions...OTHER THAN to submit a support ticket. Otherwise, please leave the thread alone and let's see if some bright person comes up with the solution absent your input. Oh, and if you do pipe up, please include your name.

Thanks,

Phil
