I Have Firefox 7 with Windows XP. (SSL encryption Info is only on top address bar) Recently, when I load pages that should be and are usually secure, (ie passwords etc for email and Sainsburys (may be others as well), the Secure sign encryption details appear while loading, but as soon as the page is fully loaded, it disappears and is Not Secure. I have tried refreshing the page and going from other parts of the websites, but the result is the same. It is secure for a second or two, then is Not secure when you need to enter passwords etc.. I've tried opening the same websites on Internet Explorer and they ARE secure on there. But not on Firefox.

Please can you help? Thank you

Additional info: I have tried deleting all cookies on Firefox, but didn't make any difference

Do you still see the https: protocol on the location bar?

If that is the case then that means that there is content on that page that comes via an insecure http: link.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

It is possible that there is such insecure content on that page.

Can you post a few links to pages where you see it?

I just found the Firefox page about Plugins and I'm updating them now..Adobe etc.. Could this be a possible cause of the problem I wonder?

The login page (*) has this image with an http src:

The Site Identity Button shows a "Connection Partially Encrypted" message.

The first link doesn't work.. The second link does - yes it's the security button that shows for a second or two, then disappears when it's loaded and I need to enter passwords etc.. The Site Identity button is Grey on these websites when I need to enter passwords etc.. But on IE it is Blue or green with the padlock

Do you think it could be cos of the outdated version of Adobe etc??

Sorry, I mean on IE it is encrypted with a padlock showing.... - Although, trying it again just now and the same thing is now happening on IE as well! -The padlock appears whilst page is loading, and disappears when ready to enter passwords etc..

here's the email one https://my.screenname.aol.com/_cqr/login/login.psp?sitedomain=sns.webmail.aol.com&lang=en&seamless=novl&offerId=webmail-en-gb&authLev=0&siteState=ver%3A4%7Crt%3ASTANDARD%7Cat%3ASNS%7Cld%3Amail.aol.co.uk%7Cuv%3AAOL%7Clc%3Aen-gb%7Cmt%3AANGELIA%7Csnt%3AScreenName%7Csid%3A219ad8fe-3140-4339-8dac-265345583b6c&locale=gb

It is secure on IE but will not show as secure on Firefox! Have refreshed etc but security button only shows while loading page and then disappears, so is never secure when entering password etc.
