How can I save the links I usually send in my emails? On previous Thunderbird version the links was automatically saved, so when I was writing an email and wanted to add a link, I clicked Ctrl+k and I just wrote some characters (for example "mozz" and the link "https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/thunderbird" appeared in my screen. It was so useful!! Is there any option like that in current Thunderbird? Thanks!!

Basic info on creating a link:

In Write window, with focus in the content typing area Ctrl+K keys will open the 'Link Properties' window which you can also access via 'Insert' > 'Link' .

You type whatever text you want to act as the visible link. Then you have to add the actual link to whatever webpage you desire. So if you had previously 'Copied' that link and it was still in the memory you could use 'Ctrl+V' to paste in the link into the 'Link location' text box.

click on 'OK' to actually add that link into the Write content area position where the text cursor is located.


I'm trying to find out if there was some preference settings which used to do what you mention, but I cannot say I've ever noticed it in the past.
