Hi Ted, that probably won't work, although I haven't tested it. Here's why I think that: Firefox stores your bookmarks in a database file called places.sqlite, and their icons in a companion database file called favicons.sqlite. The bookmarks are stored together with history and split between a table with the URLs, the edited bookmark titles, and the visit dates. I don't think two Firefox installations can simultaneously share these database files. Even if they could, you also would end up sharing all the same history between the different installations. Here is another thought: how about using Firefox Sync? You can deselect the other categories (such as saved logins) so that only bookmarks sync.
