sent gmail keeps coming back as undeliverable

more options

I've always been able to send to gmail accounts until recently. The messages below are what I keep getting when I try to send an email to someone who uses gmail. I don't send "batches"? I'm really in the dark with this. Can anyone help me? Thank you.

The first error message relates to authentication. Post the following info:

In thunderbird Help > TRoubleshooting Information click on 'copy text to clipboard' button

In this forum question, right click in a 'Post a Reply' text box and select Paste.

remove all info on fonts and printers as it is not required.

The second message is more of a worry as it implies a load of spam emails are originating from your IP address. 1] Our system has detected an unusual rate of 550-5.7.1 unsolicited mail originating from your IP address. To protect our 550-5.7.1 users from spam, mail sent from your IP address has been blocked.

So send the info I mentioned to check out the authentication part.

Sometimes when an email server is trying to deal with a spam storm, they'll block all email that has ANY link content, and label it as spam. And they won't tell you they are doing it. Yahoo does this from time to time.

But, you can test for this problem.

Pick an email that got bounced, strip all link content out of it (including any link to something in your sig block), and resend it. If that works, consider finding a new email server.

If that doesn't work, try converting the entire message to plain text. If that works, then you know what's going on.

If neither of those work, you might try getting someone live at the email server to tell you what they're blocking as spam, but I've never been able to make that connection work.
