Installation keeps being "interrupted" but I'm not doing anything to interrupt.
Windows 10 operating system. Not sure of the version of Firefox since I can't even launch it now, but it was current until yesterday. Yesterday Firefox said it wanted to update. That original download attempt took a very long time (>20 min). I did interrupt that attempt. Later, I tried again using Internet Explorer because now the shortcuts do not work. Same result of download taking over 10 minutes with no sign of completion, which I again interrupted. I tried to uninstall Firefox today, in case that was causing the problem. That was unsuccessful. Today I was successful in downloading Firefox via Internet Explorer. But during the installation process, the green status bar gets to probably 98% and then there is an error message saying that the installation was "interrupted." To my knowledge, I was not doing anything to interrupt this process. Is this a Firefox issue or something else? I'm not a techie, so please respond accordingly. :-) Thank you.

I've left my computer on for several hours and that seems to have fixed the problem. When I checked my computer again, there was a Firefox window with the Setup Wizard. Implementing that wizard completed the installation. Not sure why it had to take so many hours to download but at least I'm back up on Firefox now.

Best it use the full version of the Firefox since it is possible that security software is interfering in case of issues.
You can try this:
- download the Firefox installer and save the file to the desktop
*https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ - start the installation with a double-click on the desktop icon
