Restoring files from a Recuva search
When installing Windows 10 I lost all of my mail since mt last back up. I have used Recuva to find these "deleted" files. How do i reimport them to my inbox .They are in a compressed zip file.

What are the contents of the zip file?
Thunderbird stores e-mails in what is called "mbox" format in files with no file extension.
For example, I have a folder called "Family" in my Local Folders in Thunderbird, and subfolders for each person in my family. The files on the hard drive are:
Family Family.msf
and a folder called
Family.sbd
The first file contains the actual e-mails that are in the Family folder. The second file is an index file that Thunderbird uses to keep track of what is in the first file. The folder contains the two file types for each subfolder in the Family folder in Thunderbird.
If the zip file contains these types of files and folders, then it will be a simple matter of copying these files and folders to the Mail\Local Folders folder in your Thunderbird Profile folder.
I recommend not copying the index files (the ones that end with .msf), so then Thunderbird will re-index the e-mail.
The default location of the Thunderbird Profile folder is:: C:\Users\**Your Windows Username**\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default
Where xxxxxxxx are random letters & numbers.
So you would copy the files and folders to: C:\Users\**Your Windows Username**\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\Mail\Local Folders
