...makes the PC so slow I have to disable the plugin (renamed the exe in Windows) to be able to ask this question. When FlashPlayerPlugin is running, it seems to use a lot of ram, and Mozilla plugin-container.exe uses a lot of the CPU (60%+).

Has anyone hit this issue? How did you fix it?

Flash can be a huge drain. It's good if the new version fixed things - please mark your answer as the Solution so future users can find it easier and the question can be closed.

..... Still requires more everyday use before I can say it's 100% fixed, happy with it for the past day or so.

Alright - if it gets to be a bother again, try using it in Firefox's Safe Mode: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-safe-mode. If it works okay in Safe Mode, there may be easy tweaks that we can apply.
