I cannot copy a link to an email that doesn't look like gobbly gook or is underlined like a hyperlink, but doesn't do anything when clicked
I have tried everything and cannot copy a website link to an email that will open. I use Firefox, Windows 2013, Word 7. Maybe I don't know where the link actually is. I've tried entering it in the address bar and then copy and paste and it still is dead as a door nail within the email. If possible please send me a site with the link marked.

That depends on the link itself. Some are direct to a main page. But some go to sub pages or a part of the page below the header. Then you may see "command code."
Thank you, but I do not understand: " That depends on the link itself. Some are direct to a main page. But some go to sub pages or a part of the page below the header. Then you may see "command code." " Can you help me further?
If the link works, do not worry about it. It's the web servers that have to understand the links.
Here is an example;

This link goes to a web page. These next links go to parts of the same page, but below the top of the page.
