Mozilla Firefox partner build hotfix just appeared with version 35 in my addons
i had a problem with Mozilla Firefox partner build hotfix 20150106.01 just appeared with version 35 in my addons and then i had a browser hijack (wizard101) corrupt my browser. I had to delete my windows partition to get rid of (wizard101) hijack and re installed with an old backup from nov2013. After using my browser the addon suddenly reappeared. Could the addon be the cause of letting the hijack in?

hi sirwilly, this addon is a genuine part of firefox and used by mozilla to deliver certain small hotfixes to firefox installations. it is cryptographically signed by mozilla so it cannot be altered or misused by other parties...
this hotfix in particular fixes bug #1110307 and #1113222...
Thank-you for your quick response, I will re-enable add-on , hopefully my browser hijack wizard101 was caused from something else and will not reappear.
if you're unsure about the state of the system you could also run a scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner, which are specialised in adware and browser hijackers...
