If you disable Hardware acceleration, does that help? Turning off hardware acceleration

Yes, now FF does not crash. Does this mean that I have some other problem I might want to look into?

That means this is an issue with your graphics driver (possibly resulting from the Windows update) and how it talks with Firefox. Leave HWA disabled for now.

I have the same issue from yesterday. It crashes every time I start the application. I disabled 'hardware acceleration' but still same issue. It works fine in safe mode.
