Try this:
If you have a Firefox icon, click on it and CHECK the Menu Bar, it should now appear on the top. From there:
View > Toolbars > Customize
and see if the SEARCH bar is in the window. If so, drag it out to wherever you prefer. If not, click RESTORE DEFAULT SET to see if you can find it.

I assume when you said "my favorite line ", you mean the Bookmarks Toolbar. Again, at the Menu Bar: View > Toolbars and CHECK the Bookmarks Toolbar.
Book mark line is blank, nothing comes up on it. It appears big, white, blank, underneath open tabs. Without it checked, my open tabs show up smaller, regular line size .
When I press the tool bar book mark a big, long, blank white line comes up under my open tabs, no bookmarks. I use to be able to drag an address from my address bar to the favorites bar and it would be there. That was extremely handy and much more user friendly than bookmarks, where it takes several clicks.
I read in another of your post that you said these "Favorites" have never been bookmarked, right? If that's the case, they'll not appear in the Bookmarks Toolbar. You have to bookmarked them first, that's the purpose of the Bookmarks Bar. After that, you'll be able to access them whenever you want in the future.
How did you access them in the past without bookmarking them?
Try this:
View > Toolbars > Customize
and move the "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" onto the Bookmarks Toolbar.
And did you get the Search Engine toolbar back?
I had another bar, that was not bookmarks where favorites were all dragged and dropped. That is missing. None of these were ever bookmarked as that requires too many steps. If they were automatically bookmarked from dragging and dropping them then they are gone now. There is no favorites bar. Bookmark bar is blank.
"I use to be able to drag an address from my address bar to the favorites bar and it would be there. That was extremely handy and much more user friendly than bookmarks, where it takes several clicks. "
There's no such thing as "Favorites Bar" in Firefox, only Bookmarks Toolbar. Favorites is the name for IE, Bookmarks is the name for Firefox, which has the same purpose.
Did you read my post about dragging the "Bookmark Toolbar Items"?
I really suggest you follow all the steps and/or links in my posts to see if any of them work.
