Why is it so difficult importing firefox bookmarks from a previous or the simular version. What i would like to see is an import button (that always is enabled, mine is not working dunno why) that always work, you import favorites that you have copied or saved from a previous computer, just press the import button, go the the place were youre favorites are locates and voila... firefox does the rest, no need to find youre profile in the command line or do any other magic tricks. Just make it easy drag and drop. now i am unable to load my old bookmarks into a new pc and system. (from xp to windows 7)

Unless you created a new Profile, Firefox is only going to have one set of bookmarks, in one location or Profile, regardless of how many versions of Firefox that you might have installed.

Mozilla has Firefox Sync for synchronizing bookmarks and other personal data between two different PC's.

If you don't want to use Firefox Sync, you can do it this way for bookmarks.
Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks -> Import & Backup - Export HTML... - to a USB stick
then
Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks -> Import & Backup - Import HTML... - from file on that USB stick
