Firefox will not give you the option to remember some passwords for security reasons [like paypal] or on some sites that arn't set up properly.

How can I force Firefox to remember my password in these rare cases?

Thank you all

Some sites tell browsers not to remember passwords for visitors by using autocomplete="off". This bookmarklet makes the browser ignore autocomplete="off" temporarily, allowing you to save passwords even on sites that use autocomplete="off".

Remember Password bookmarklet:

There's also the Save Password Editor extension, but it hasn't been updated beyond Fx4.0b3 yet. It seems to work correctly in 4.0b7, but you'll need the Addon Compatibility Reporter to get it to install. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60265

I'm sorry to post on a SOLVED thread but after following "the-edmeis..."suggestions (Remember Password bookmark) ALL my saved passwords were DELETED!!!

I have saved loads of passwords in my browser like 50 of them, and now they're all gone! Even the master password is gone. I am fuming.

Please, is there any way to reverse this??

Thank you.

Did you follow the directions on this page?

I did. There's not much info under "Remember Password". All you have to do is enter password and click that button "Remember Password", right?

Well, in my case, just after that ALL the passwords I have saved in the browser disappeared. Yes, I have checked Options>Security>Saved Passwords and it's totally BLANK.

Even the master password was erased.

Using the bookmarklet should cause other passwords to disappear. That bookmarklet only changes some code on a web page to remove an autocomplete=off property.

If your passwords have disappeared and also the master password is gone then you may have switch to another profile folder.

The thing is, mate, all the bookmarks are there. Just not the passwords.

I tried to troubleshoot the profile but didn't work.

Nevermind,...I give up. I'll try System Restore or reinstall and enter all the passwords (can't wait).

I know that "Remember Password" thing was just a class or function or whatever you call it but in my case, things got wrong just after I pressed it.

Thanks anyway.
