Themes not displaying correctly on Samsung Galaxy S10
Just got this new phone, and every dark theme I download that is supposed to be black (even AMOLED black) and designed for mobile shows the same dark gray bar with black text, looking nothing like the images of the theme. Is there a phone or Firefox setting I need to change so they display correctly?

Hi Sara
Thank you for your question and for installing Firefox for Android on your shiny new phone.
So that I can look into this further for you, what is the name of the theme that you are trying to install? I have made a few themes myself, so I am a little concerned to hear about this issue, but hope that I can help resolve it.
Thank you, Seburo. A few that I've tried are Dark Firefox Mobile 2.0, Just a Dark Theme 2.0, and Minimal Black Mobile V2.
Hi Sara
I have not been able to find all of those themes, but I have found out what the underlying issue is.
There is a small unresolved issue where Firefox for Android will not correctly display theme that has a full colour background, but will display a theme that has an image file as a background.
If you do like dark themes, you may wish to try Firefox Preview (available from the Google Play Store). This is our new mobile web browser and while it is still under development with more features being added, it does have a full dark theme - that even dark themes some web pages like Twitter.
I hope this helps.
@seburo, thank you but Firefox Preview is still missing many features I consider essential. It looks like the mobile theme issue is not limited to solid color backgrounds, as I downloaded another theme with an image background and the text was still black (it was supposed to be white) and the menu bar was still unaffected by the theme. I think the developers need to take a look at whatever changed in the latest Android update, to see what is incompatible with the current theme implementation.
Hi
Which was the theme that you downloaded that had an image?
