I have checked the smtp settings etc and even deleted the account (which was a big mistake because I lost all my folders). The ISP has confirmed that I am not blocked and the the port settings and everything is correct. I confirmed this by being able to send emails from my webmail inbox. How do I go from one day fine to the next unable to send? I did get some messages one day saying "undeliverable to" a whole bunch of random emails addresses that I did not send, so maybe that has something to do with it?

Sorry for the double up support but the first time I tried posting I got an error message saying there was a time out.

That sounds like a nefarious person has abused your email address to send a load of spam. You usually have no idea this occurs until you get bounced back email of the type you mention.

However, the first image you posted shows the smtp for tpg is not sending using OAuth, you are using Normal Password.

So please check that the account as shown in third image is actually sending using the correct smtp outgoing server.

  • right click on pop mail account in Folder Pane and select 'Settings'
  • The 'Account Settings' window will open and you should already have the account name selected.
  • Bottom right you will see 'Outgoing Server SMTP'
  • click on the drop down and make sure the 'smtp.tpg.com.au' server is selected.
  • click on OK

See image to help as guide to show what I'm talking about.

Is the correct smtp selected for that account?

If you bothered to look you will see that I put a comment with an apology after the post stating that I had a time-out error and didn't realise that the first attempt had posted.

I change to OAuth2 and attempted to email and it said I had the wrong Authentication settings so I changed it back to Normal password. As far as I know this has always been the setting I have used.

I am not bothered and I can read what you posted just fine. It is just a heads up to the two volunteers working on separate posts so they can save some effort.
