We've been having issues with the newest version of Firefox on a few machines. After spending hours on updating drivers and tweaking settings, I discovered that the common factor that each machine had was that they had the Spector360 software by SpectorSoft installed on them. This causes the browser menus to be extremely slow and momentarily freeze. I guess this isn't so much fo a question but more of a incompatibility/bug report. There seems to be no way around this other than uninstalling Spector360, but that is not an option for us.

Have you tried to see if the have any updates or contacted then as to compatibility with ver 57 ?

You can go to the ESR Version which is what buisnesses usully use if deploying a few of them. 52.5.0 ESR is secure. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.

You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

You can download and install the Firefox Developers Edition and it has a compatibility mode so can run with other versions. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/developer/ You do not need to use the Developer tools to have the same ver 57 as it replaces. https://www.howtogeek.com/333110/how-to-customize-firefox-quantum-and-remove-the-white-space-around-the-title-bar/ Lots of code out to do a lot of things with the UI on it.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
