Hello, there is a Junk folder but it's always empty (the 'junked' emails are immediately deleted instead of going into the folder). I am now in a situation where I want to check the contents but I can't find out how to do it. Can anyone help? For info what I'm trying to do is to see if my facebook email notifications are being junked as I've stopped receiving them (I've checked the settings, which appear correct). I use Thunderbird for Mac, version 45.8.0, Update 52.0.1 I have looked at previous threads and cannot find what I need. With many thanks for any help provided.

What is your account type - POP or IMAP?

Thank you for your reply. In order to reply to your query, I looked in the Settings where I found where to change the Junk folder settings to 'put junk emails in Junk folder' (basically). So many thanks for helping me look somewhere I hadn't been. You wouldn't have an idea for the fb email notifications (or rather lack of), would you? Cheeky I know. (Oh and to reply to your question, it's a POP account). With best wishes.

it's a POP account

Login to your account via webmail and check the spam folder on the server.

Thank you, that was a good idea, but the Junk folder is empty there too.
