Ant.com video downloader 2.4.7.47 no longer works with Firefox update 51.0.1 since the Firefox (for Mac) recent update in Jan. 2017 Possibly a plugin bug ???
Apple Mac Mini (late 2012) Mac OS Sierra 10.12.02 (updated recently - since this update, Ant downloader has still been functioning o.k.) Firefox browser - 51.0.1 - 64 bit (updated Jan 2017) Ant.com video downloader 2.4.7.47 (recent version) This problem started after Firefox was recently updated - yesterday. I have reinstalled the Ant downloader several times & I have checked & updated all plugins (including Java) ... still no go. When I download & start any video playing, the Ant downloader's 'blue square with an arrow' in my toolbar - does not detect any video running/playing anymore.
I would be very grateful for you assistance please. Regards Peter

Have you tried Ant.com support? https://support.ant.com/hc/en-us
The "Ant Video Downloader 2.4.7.47" on https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/video-downloader-player/ is a Extension and not a Plugin like Flash Player and Java is.
Going by the reviews they ask you do support requests at https://support.ant.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Hello James Thanks for your help. I have been to the ANT website (no real resolvement to my problem though) & have also sent a request for support - I am waiting for a reply from them. I have also checked for any available answers - using the Google search. It seems as though quite a few people are experiencing the same problem - strangely, since the Firefox 51.01.1 latest update. It has been suggested to roll back to an early version of Firefox.

Hello again
I have received an answer from Ant support (below) ........ I thought that it might be useful to you. Thank you for your support over the past couple of days. Much appreciated.

Dear Leopp8351,
Thank you for your interest in Ant.com Video Downloader.
Please note that recent Firefox 51 update with enabled by default Electrolysis(e10S) multi-process architecture is currently not supported by AVD and some another add-ons. The new version of AVD with multi-process architecture support is under development.
Meanwhile, you can temporarily disable multi-process architecture by making a few simple changes in the Firefox preferences.
You need to open Firefox configuration page by typing "about:config" in browser address bar, confirm that you will be careful, type "browser.tabs.remote.autostart" in search field and set all found preferences to "false" by double-clicking.
Next just restart the browser to apply changes.
Hope this information was helpful.
Regards, Ant.com Support Team
