Crash ID: bp-2ecb82c9-8a8c-47d5-ac9b-ef5c12160502

Standard Mint 17 Update Manager prompted for update of Firefox to version 46 from 45. These upgrades have gone smoothly before, but this one did not. firefox crashes upon launch, even with --safe-mode Attempted to downgrade back to 45, but the attempt failed (lots if incorrect dependencies).

Based on crash report it is a good chance it is due to the version of Oxygen-GTK3 theme you have. A version of this theme is crashing Firefox 46.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 for example and Ubuntu 12.04 has a patch already or coming to fix this theme in 12.04.

Try using another GTK 3 theme.

Firefox as of Firefox 46.0 and newer requires GTK 3.4 and newer to run and therefore needs a GTK 3 theme to Theme Firefox.

I flipped a few theme options and that seemed to do the trick. Thanks much.
