I can't keep my browser history for more than two days. Is there a way to set the amount of time my browser history is saved?

At one point it saved for months but I did some sort of security update and now my history is deleted like every two days. Is there any way to set up the number of days or months or something, so Firefox keeps my browsing history for a longer period of time? (I have Windows 8.1, and Firefox 37.0.2 if that helps with anything.)

May be the feature is eliminated in the newer versions. But there is an addon that you can use to set your preferred, custom dates to make FF clear your history and other data. Give it a look at: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/precise-clear-history/

Thanks

In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history:

  • do not clear the Browsing History

Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.

If you use cleanup software like CCleaner then check the settings for the Firefox application.
