Many problems with new version of Mozilla Thunderbird 31.0
Just listing these so they can be fixed: 1. Links won't open in browser now 2. When I start typing in an email address to send an email, it will often hang up for the longest time on just the first letter. 3. Others' emails and copies of my own often show up with code in them, mostly this: Â Sometimes in single characters, at other times in long lines of the same character. 4. When I copy text from an email to paste it into another, it won't show up unless I put it into Wordperfect (what I use) first, then copy from there again. 5. Since this installed, I can no longer double click to select a word in any program, including Mozilla. 6. The subject line is no longer in white, which means I will often overlook it if I don't use my Tab key to go from addressing to the next function.
There's more, but these are the main ones I can think of now. Please fix these ASAP. They are really slowing me down.

Just answering so you know.
1. Links won't open in browser now
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Hyperlinks-in-Messages-Not-Working
2. When I start typing in an email address to send an email, it will often hang up for the longest time on just the first letter. that is being worked on in bug 1048316
3. Others' emails and copies of my own often show up with code in them, mostly this: Â Sometimes in single characters, at other times in long lines of the same character. Right click your folder and select properties and then repair. If that does not work look at the character encoding of the emails View menu (alt +V) > character encoding
4. When I copy text from an email to paste it into another, it won't show up unless I put it into Wordperfect (what I use) first, then copy from there again. Have not heard of that from anyone else. Have you tried restarting with add-ons disabled from the help menu yo see if they might be the issue? 5. Since this installed, I can no longer double click to select a word in any program, including Mozilla. That is an operating system issue
6. The subject line is no longer in white, which means I will often overlook it if I don't use my Tab key to go from addressing to the next function. That is by design, sorry you don't like it.
