I keep getting a message to update mozilla, yet it says I'm using most current version. Download has a virus that my computer rejects.
I am running Mozilla 28 and keep getting a message to upgrade to Mozilla 29. When I try to upgrade, my antivirus software rejects it saying it's infected, yet, when I go to Mozilla it says I'm running most current version. How do I stop these messages?

Could you check your download history for the source of the problem file?
Sometimes bad upgrade links are generated by an extension. You can review, disable, and often remove extensions on the Add-ons page. Use either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column click Extensions. I suggest disabling anything unrecognized, or which you do not remember installing, or which you do not plan to use for the next 48 hours.
Firefox will provide a link to restart if that is needed in order to make your changes effective.
Any difference?
If you like, you can get a full installer for Firefox 30 from this site:

You also apparently have have mindspark installed and that is often considered potentially unwanted or even malware.

Firefox 30.0 has been the current version on mozilla.org since it was released last week on June 10.
I've checked the history but don't see anything out of the ordinary. I have downloaded version 30, so I'll see if that works. Thanks!
Ok. Thanks! I'll check that out.
I downloaded that, but I'm still getting the update message.
Hi cdhenson, is the update message a popup that appears from time to time or on certain websites?
Did you get a chance to review your extensions?

Why would you think that? I've never heard of "mindspark".
LOIF, this thread was started by somebody else as the "mindspark" was mentioned the "More system details" by the OP.
I see you have a similar question at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1019645
Hi LOIF, are you the same person as cdhenson?
The reference to Mindspark is in the "More System Details" associated with the original post (in the right sidebar).
