La commande STAT à échoué: failed to lock or parse or multiple access

I installed Thunderbird 24.4.0 and configured an account in IMAP and everything went fine. Then I configured that same account in POP3 and I'm having the message: "La commande STAT a échoué. Erreur lors de la récupération des tailles et du nombre de messages. Le serveur de courrier XXX a répondu: failed to lock or parse or multiple access." I've been searching the web for an answer and did not find any. I'm just about to remove Thunderbird.
I configured some other IMAP accounts on the same provider and everything works fine. It looks like only the POP3 doesn't work.
I installed Thunderbird 24.4.0 on a Windows 7 x64 computer. I also installed all recent patch in case, but it did not solve the problem.

Sounds like an email is causing a log jam.
It is possible that the oldest message has a header that is somewhat munged, preventing its download and so stopping all download.
This could be an email in a 'SPAM' folder or in the 'Inbox' folder on the server.
Logon to webmail.
First, empty the Spam folder and retry to GetMail in Thunderbird.
If not downloading, then in WEbmail look at the oldest email in the Inbox. Try isolating that message to another folder (or deleting it) via the Webmail interface.
then retry to GetMail in Thunderbird.
I empty all my WEbmail. But it still give me the same error. I also restarted Thunderbird just in case but I still get the same result.
Any other suggestions?

Sounds like you already have someone connected to the Inbox on the server. If you are the only person with access, try this as a test.
As POP mail accounts can only see the Inbox on the server, make sure your IMAP mail account is not subscribed nor synchronized with the 'Inbox' folder. So that the IMAP mail account cannot see the Inbox folder. Close and restart Thunderbird and see if stopping the IMAP access to the Inbox allowed POP access to the Inbox.

I tried disabling every account. I deleted all my IMAPs to be sure and I still get the same error after restarting Thunderbird.
I tried on another POP3 email and I still have the same error message.

Pop mail account settings for incoming
try using:
- incoming server name: pop.videotron.ca
- port : 110
- Connection security: none
- authentication method: password

I still get the same error. Actually, I'm not with videotron. I also tried to enter the ip adress directly but it also failed.
Are you using Telus Communications?
No. This account is managed by an independant supplier. He use IMail 5.0.

You say this account is managed by an independant supplier, who should be able to tell you what to use to access webmail account via an email client.
In the webmail account, have you selected Pop mail forwarding?
Yes it seems to be used by Telus communications but the the server is not own by Telus. My provider is Suppornet. I don't forward my mail since I take them directly on the server.
I can retrieve my mail with no problem using Outlook. But never succeed with Thunderbird.
Right now, it looks like Thunderbird retrieve my maiils, but it still give me the error. So I can't be sure that Thunderbird will always retrieve my mail or if it will retrieve all my mails.
