Chosen solution

I could not delete the AVG so I went and deleted the browser from computer and registry to eliminate any memory of what happened and I installed all over again

And now it's all right

Try reset your home page:

Other way:

Go to about:config search for browser.startup.page change its value to:

about:home default

about:blank blank page

Your screenshot shows "AVG Secure Search".

I found this thread on the AVG forum, http://forums.avg.com/us-en/avg-forums?sec=thread&act=show&id=237965 ...in which the last post dated Jan 7 2014 says, "Uninstalling of Toolbar using uninstall button should remove all remains even New tab search."

See this Mozilla Support article for detailed instructions:

Maybe it is your plug-ins or add-ons, try go there and remove:

Did you try all of the suggestions in the Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page article?

The Restore the default home page or search settings section says,

"You may need to reset your Firefox search preferences and restore the default New Tab page, home page and search engine after removing the toolbar. A simple way to do that is with the Search Reset add-on."

Maybe this AVG Support article will help:

http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/How-to-uninstall-AVG-Toolbar-homepage-and-Secure-Search-from-your-browser

If you still have problems after going through that article, and no one else here has a solution, I think your best bet would be to get more help on the AVG Support site:

It has been deleted now, I deleted all the browser from the computer and erased it in registry

the magician, Your solution may not be the best for everyone but if it worked for you, then it's the solution as far as this thread goes.

For the benefit of others reading: The Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page article does mention removing and reinstalling Firefox as one possible solution, in the Other Solutions section. (Quote)

AVG secure search can be removed from your machine. I used the posting of KerriB of 6/23/12. It worked perfectly. Recommend the procedure if you are through trying other techniques. KerriB posted on 6/23/12 works.

How can I see what KerriB posted on 6/23/12 ?
