My Mom uses the ION forum and when posting a reply a box is there to write in. There is a place to select a font which just says "font" but does not open with fonts like it does when using Internet Explorer. Also, there are "smileys" to the left which do not work either (they also work with Internet Explorer). Firefox is much faster than Internet Explorer and we would like to use it with everything. I did an Alt-PrintScreen and made a snapshot of it but do not know where to send it.

Thank you,

Michael

Hi Michael, you can attach a screen shot to a reply in this thread. Just below the text box, you'll see the Browse button.

Could you provide links to the pages with the problem? The cause of the issue probably won't be obvious from a screen shot.

http://intellectualodditiesnetwork.com is the site and you have to sign up with them first. They don't allow abusive people on their site so they want to keep track of who is there (I'm sure you'll have no problem with that).

Anyway, once you're in you click on one of the topics and click the "post a reply" button to get to where my screenshot is. If you try this with Internet Explorer you will see what is missing in Firefox.

Thanks for the help :)

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
