delete the ff downloader in ff-22
My problem with the new upgrade with the new downloader locked in the toolbar I deleted it but it still worked in the background. No matter what other downloader I tried to use all downloads went directly to your embedded downloader. I would like to get rid of it because it does not suite my needs especially not having a resume function, Plus I do not care for ff to control my download functions, Whereas my control does not give me access to what it is actually doing outside of just downloading for all I know you could be collecting data to direct ads and other such spam to me. I say no to your downloader and want it off my system, if I cannot do this there's always another Browser system I could utilize for my needs. Now pls understand I want it off my system not just disabled. So if you can give me the instructions on how to do that the problem is solved and I am a happy user. If not I will leave FireFox and find a new Browser which are in abundance.

You can find Pause and Resume in the right-click context menu of an item while the downloads is in progress.
that's the problem it does not have a pause and resume btn every time I have tried to use this it deletes the download. But the the real Q. is how to delete the downloader?
There is longer a button to pause the download, but only an entry in the right-click context menu of an item in the Downloads folder in the Library and in the drop-down list of the Downloads button on the Navigation Toolbar.
You can set the Boolean pref browser.download.useToolkitUI to true on the about:config page to revert to the classic Download Manager and also make all download settings reappear in "Options > General".
