For 3 weeks, I've been receiving error messages saying "Firefox is not working properly." And the program closes. What do I do?

For the past 3 weeks, when I'm using anything on my computer (websites, Internet, emails, social media sites), I get a boxed error message saying "Firefox is not working correctly. A message will be sent to Microsoft...or Windows to figure out how to fix this." Of course, I never hear back from anyone.

I am not a computer nerd, so I don't know what I should do to fix this. Can you help me? Or do I have to call in a 'geek housecall'-type person?

As soon as the error message box disappears, the computer works fine, but I've been getting this error message (only dealing with Firefox) for too long now.
