'Unplug' will no longer download. It gives you the box of what you want to download, but when you click on 'download' nothing happens.

2nd question: ant video downloader - I have been using that as an alternative, and have just discovered that many of the clips I have downloaded will not play! The problem is with flv files - some simply won't run, and some say 'VLC does not support the audio and video format .undf.'

Please advise if unplug can be fixed, and if the other files are retrievable in any sense, or if there is an alternative downloader that will work correctly.

concerning your vlc player my best and only advice is use k-lite codecs mega pack and use media player classic this is the best flv player it palys every video file i know of and best of all its FREE

Upgrading to a more recent version (from 2.054 to 2.055beta) fixed this problem for me: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/unplug/versions/ Note that even with the fix, nothing shows up in "downloads" - the file just turns up at some point.
