(I would suggest asking an Admin to change your username, as it's your email address and now spammers can see it and spam your inbox. Go to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors and start a new Thread called "[ATTN Admin] Please change my Username" and tell them the new username you would like)

For your issue, I would first update to Firefox 15.0.1. Update Firefox to the latest release. After doing that, see if Firefox is still slow. If it is, I'll ask you a few questions:

1. What anti-virus do you use?

2. Does a Firefox Reset Help? Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
