How can I restore the GUI of previous versions?

I want to restore the configuration of the GUI to that which I have become accustomed over many years and several browsers.

It is as if FF developers somehow concluded the gas, brake, shifter and turn signal stalk have been in the wrong places for 20 years.

I gotta be honest, I'd rather switch browsers than to click through page after page to get to link after link to not solve such a simple problem.

Thanks. Looks like I'm stuck switching browsers. Pity Mozilla seems to have embraced change solely for the sake of change.

I'd think developers would be familiar with the popularity of Google's inexplicable changes to their GUI/s in the name of "evolution".

Hey, thanks again. You didn't exactly solve my problem but I did learn how to make my problem go away.
