Whenever Gmail is opened the first time after firefox is started, it hangs firefox for about 5-10 seconds and then asks to Continue or Stop Script. It shows the problem is with this script: https://ssl.google-analytics.com/ga.js:21 (I generally open gmail through the link at the top of google.com) It has been a long time now that I am facing this problem. Why don't google or mozilla fix it? Does anyone else has this problem? Please help.

Hi kkaushik90,

Have you looked at the Warning Unresponsive script - What it means and how to fix it Knowledge Base article? There is a lot of good troubleshooting information in there.

Hopefully this helps!

Hi Matt_G,

Thanks for your reply. I read the article you posted, and found the most appropriate solution to my problem is to install YesScript add-on. But, adding www.gmail.com to it's blacklist also blocks all other scripts on this site, which I want to use. If I add https://ssl.google-analytics.com it does not help and the problem persists.
