Hi,

The correct way would be to sign out of Gmail by clicking on the web mail's or Google's sign out option. Even otherwise you can make Firefox forget about the session by enabling Active Logins in Tools (Alt + T) > Options > Privacy > Settings. Please note that these options may become visible only once Firefox will is set to Use custom settings for history and Clear history when Firefox closes is enabled. Options > Privacy
