This started happening all of the sudden over a week ago. It crashes on start-up, safe and normal mode. The only thing I attempted to install prior to crash is Advanced System Care 5 update. Now Firefox crashes everytime. My crash reports reads:

AvailableVirtualMemory: 4107071488 BuildID: 20110928134238 CrashTime: 1323320500 Email: [email protected] InstallTime: 1323320499 ProductName: Firefox ReleaseChannel: release StartupTime: 1323320499 SystemMemoryUsePercentage: 24 Throttleable: 1 TotalVirtualMemory: 4294836224 URL: Vendor: Mozilla Version: 7.0.1

This report also contains technical information about the state of the application when it crashed.

I tried to re-install 8.0.1 and get "Extraction failed"

PLEASE HELP!! I LOVE MY FIREFOX, HATE HAVING TO USE EXPLORER

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

If you have submitted Breakpad crash reports then post the IDs of one or more Breakpad crash reports (bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx). You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page. You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website.

I tried starting safe mode, it won't start.

It won't even send a report to Mozilla within the Crash Report prompt.

It won't retrieve any Crash ID

It won't allow me to install a Firefox executable
