Why does my Firefox blur/scramble websites?

It usually starts when I click on a drop down menu bar, when I start scrolling over the options in the menu. After that the whole website could get all scrambled/blurred. Also happens when I goto minimize a website and then go and maximize it again.

I am running Firefox 7.0, actually it just happened when I went to go confirm the version I was running. The "About Firefox" popped up and the menu bars at the top of my page blurred.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
