THANK YOU for the prompt referral. Unfortunately, it didn't work: I have no Remove option off the Menu and I'd already unclicked Yahoo Toolbar. . . it just doesn't want to go away! I've got the 5.o Firefox and I think it came with that.

I would get Firefox from Mozilla and nobody else. They do not put junk like that into the browser but third parties might. Also pay close attention when installing any software into Windows. If there is a custom or advanced install as well as a default, choose the custom or advanced because you have more control over what gets installed that way.

I thought it Was Mozilla, but I was too tired to be screwin around with the computer so I'm not even sure anymore. Sorry Mozilla, I take back the blame! Any suggestions on how to fix it now?

Download Firefox from Mozilla.

Uninstall Firefox, remove its program directory, and then install the new one. If that does not help, try safe mode and see if that makes the extra item go away. If so, you will have to see which extension is causing the problem.

Ran all Norton 360 scans last night - all ran clean so I upgraded to Firefox 6.0 (the REAL one!) Although Yahoo's still it's own entity on the Tool Bar, it's stopped becoming the default browser after my first window opens, so I'm happy now. May try your suggestion tho - emailing to self as reminder. THANK YOU very much for all the help - Truly appreciate it . . and how prompt you were. Have a Great one.
