How do i set FF5 to allow window with no tabs?

Is it possible to set FF5 to allow a window with no tabs or is there a plugin that can do that and how do I set it to do that?

By "no tabs" I mean, for example, there's only one tab open, I hit ctrl+w and that one tab closes, but the main Firefox window stays open.

I dropped Opera for Feuer Fuchs a long time ago and "allow window with no tabs" is the one thing about Opera that I still miss.

CTRL + W closes only one Tab in a window. If the window contains only one Tab, then CTRL + W closes the whole window.

-> click Firefox button and click Options -> Tabs panel -> Remove Checkmarks from all Options in Tabs panel -> click OK

Check and tell if its working.

Tried that, didn't work to get the effect I wanted. The ones I had checked were "open new windows..." warn me when closing..." and "always show the..."

I unchecked them all and started hitting ctrl+w. The result was when I got down to one tab, the tab bar vanished, but the view of the one tab open was still showing. When I hit ctrl+w, the entire window closed as if I'd clicked on the red X

That's exactly how CTRL + W works..

If you want the Tan bar to always keep showing, click Firefox button and click Options -> Tabs panel -> place Checkmark on Always show the Tab bar -> click OK
