I downloaded 5.o previously this year & it wouldn't work because after downloading I discovered that it would only work with Intel based Mac systems. Has this changed? I don't want to go thru the download process again if it won't work. Thanks.

No. as of Firefox 4.0 and newer from Mozilla you need both OSX 10.5+ and Intel.

Either you can still use Firefox 3.6.18as you are using (3.6.19 will be coming in some 5 weeks) http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

Or use a third party version built for the old PPC. http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/
