FF5 hasn't come up with any different features eg the things shown on the site
when FF5 installed an internet page came up with some of the changes. My firefox looks exactly the same as it did before, since a recent update. For example it doesnt have the tabs thing below the X at the top right.

The orange Firefox menu button is hidden by default on Windows XP.
You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden, so you need to hide the Menu bar via View > Toolbars, also accessible via Firefox > Options.
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.
You can place the Tab Bar on top.
- View > Toolbars : [ ] Menu Bar
- View > Toolbars : [X] Tabs on Top
thanks, got the orange bar now. however haven't got any of the other things! the only one I can remember is the one below the X on the top right.
can anyone help with the rest?
thanks
Is that a toolbar (View > Toolbars) that is missing or something added by an extension?
Do you see any disabled extensions in Tools > Add-ons > Extensions ?
Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
Hi Cor-el, thanks for responding. I found out how to put the panorama on the toolbar. there are no disabled toolbars.pressed tools>add ons> and got a page come up and checked what was disabled. I cannot remember now what else was on the FF5 welcome page, so I guess what I dont know about I wont miss!
thanks for your help.
Oh, just realised: what I haven't got is the History icon. I have gone into the orange tab>edit this menu>history and set the location of the History icon to the top left, however it isn't there. If I set it to the top right, it is nt there either!
any ideas?
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
- If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
- If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
- If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.
